AnewspeciesofArtemisia(Asteraceae: Antemideae)fromXizang,China,A.baxoiensis,isdescribed,illustrated,anddiscussed based onmorphological,micromorphological, andmolecular phylogeneticevidence.It growsinthe NuJiangdry-hot valleyandis narrowlydistributed. This plant is similar to Neopallasia pectinata, but different in capitula and indumentum. Artemisia baxoiensis has a distinctive morphology with a pectinately pinnatisect leaf blade and unusually dense glandular hairs.
