Taxonomy This is a manuscript name mentioned by DC. (1836: 372, sub D. latifolia). Mattfeld (1929: 406) misread the citation and attributed it to Desfontaines (1804: 95). The name is not present there, DC. apparently made an error for Grangea latifolia. Contrary to Fosberg & Sachet (1981: 33) that name is not valid. The so-called descriptions by Desfontaines are translations of the epitheta. [details]
